Leopard cats are small wild cats native to South, Southeast, and East Asia. They are similar in size to a domestic cat, but more slender, with longer legs and a small head. They have a huge range, and vary in size and color depending on their environment. Leopard cats typically are no more than 8 pounds, and are a tawney color with white chests and bellies and black spots all over their body. 

Leopard cats are usually solitary and largely nocturnal. They are great climbers and spend a lot of time in trees. While they can be great swimmers, they most often do not do so. They hunt mostly small rodents, lizards, amphibians, birds and insects.
